Yummy Brown Rice

I made brown rice the other day that was delicious.  You can ask my lil sis and Eli for confirmation if you need it.  It was very easy to make and very healthy, too.  I cooked the brown rice as indicated on the box.  While it was cooking, I added oil, walnuts, kale, onion, a pinch of brown sugar, and seasoning to a skillet and browned it for about three minutes.  Then I added the brown rice.  Presto!  Yummy rice.  I later stuffed it into squash and cooked it in the slow-cooker… I think the slow cooking took away a lot of the flavor (and nutrients), so I won’t do the second step again.  I tried to take pics of the brown creation, but I had camera issues…

try taking kale, garlic, onion and olive oil, and sauté till it is cooked down. put it in pita pockets with hummus. yummy. I will have to try your creation.
