Most of my friends know that Easter is my absolute favorite holiday!  I don’t love it because of the yummy chocolate and jellybean explosion.  I don’t love it because traditionally it’s spent with family over some good home cooking.  I don’t love it because 70% of the time the weather is springtime gorgeous.  Don’t get me wrong… I LIKE it for all of those reasons.  But I love it because I get to reflect on what Christ did for me on the cross.  I get to CELEBRATE what He did for me on the cross.  There really is no better thing… not cute chicks, ducklings, or dressed up babies… not blooming tulips and daisies… not an extra day off with hubby… none of that other Easter stuff compares to celebrating my savior.  Whoo hoo… let the reflection continue this week of what Christ suffered and accomplished on the cross for wretched me… and let the celebration ensue this coming weekend for He is Good!!!!

As a very cheesey (and now mega-TBN) church I attended a few times in Florida used to say to close celebrations : HIP-HIP-HOORAY!
